TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria wishes to inform the General Public that with effect from 3rd September 2007, Visa applicants will be required to complete their application forms and pay for same online (E-payment) through the Nigeria Immigration Service website www.immigration.gov.ng.

2.    Applicants thereafter will be required to print out their completed application forms and forward same to the Embassy with a processing fee of $20.00 (twenty dollars only) in Money Order, made payable to the Embassy of Nigeria, Washington, DC.  If express processing of visa is however required, the sum of $65.00 in money order made payable to the Embassy of Nigeria should also be forwarded together with the application.  Requirements for Under Age application remain same (view Embassy Visa form).  The duration of processing remains the same.

3.    This Notice supercedes all previous information regarding Visa application requirements, please.

TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC

     The Embassy of the Federal Repulbic of Nigeria wishes to inform the General Public that the under-mentioned changes will be effected from February 16, 2009 in the processing fees charged for the following categories of visa:

(a)  Subject to Regularization STR visa $223.00

(b)  Temporary Work Permit TWP visa $100.00

2.  Applications for STR and TWP visa should therefore be accompanied with the appropriate processing fees in money order made payable to the Embassy of Nigeria, Washington DC.

3. Relatably, the Embassy will also commence charging processing fees for the underlisted services which were hitherto offered free:

(a)  Letter of No-Objection a.k.a. Waiver letter      -   $50.00

(b)  Renounciation of Nigerian Citizenship               -   $50.00

4.  All fees are to be paid in money order addressed to the Embassy of Nigeria, Washington DC.

5. This Notice superceedes all previous information regarding these services.
