Notice to All Nigerians Affected By Hurricane Katrina

The painful news of the deadly hurricane Kantrina, which ravaged parts of Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi, on Monday August 29, 2005, has left everyone aghast.

In order to establish contact with Nigerians, who were affected by the devastation, notice is hereby given to such persons to please communicate their situtations to the Nigerian Embassy in Washington, DC, on e-mail address: katrinavictims@nigeriaembassyusa.org.

Affected persons are required to please furnish the Embassy with information about their current whereabouts and circumstance, as well as contact details.

The Embassy of Nigeria commiserates with the families that have lost their loved ones. May God grant such families the courage and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. May He also provide succour to the survivors.
