REQUIREMENTS FOR NIGERIAN VISA

Step 1 -   Visa fees are to be paid through the Nigerian immigration Website at www.immigration.gov.ng After filling the online form, print out the form and submit;

Step 2 – Proceed to the payments section an make the payment. Be sure to print out confirmation of payment and attach to the application;

Step 3 – Mail the documents with the following attachments to the Embassy of Nigeria (see address in front page):

                  Documents Required for Visa Application

                  a)              Passport

                  b)              Completed Visa application Form

                  c)              Confirmation o online payment

                  d)              2 Passport size pictures

                  e)              Letter of invitation from host

                  f)               $20.00 money order addressed to the Embassy of Nigeria, Washington DC

                                    (If expedite service is required, the processing fee is $85.00 in money order)

 

                  ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 16

 

                  Applicants under the age of 16 years must provide the following in addition to the standard          requirements stated above:

 

                  a)              Photocopy of birth certificate

                  b)              Signed letters of consent from both parents

                  c)              Photocopies of the parents' passports (bio-data page) or valid Identification must

                                    accompany the application.

 

MAILING INSTRUCTIONS

All applications to be submitted by mail must be sent express overnight. The application must have a self addressed prepaid FEDEX, DHL, UPSM OR USPS EXPRESS MAIL return envelope. All visa applications posted to the Embassy MUST HAVE TRACKING NUMBERS. DO NOT ATTACH A STANDARD ENVELOPE AND STAMP AS THE EMBASSY WILL NOT MAIL THE APPLICATION/VISA BACK.
