NIDO Holds Election on Saturday December 14, 2002

The Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation in the Americas (NIDO, Americas) will hold their annual convention on Saturday, December 14, 2002 from 10 am to 4.00 pm.

The venue is the new Nigeria Embassy building located on 3519 International Court Drive, Vanness, NW Washington, DC 20008 directly behind University of District of Columbia (UDC).

The theme of this year's convention is "Nigerians Working Together in the Diaspora" while the major highlight is the election of a new Board of Trustees for the Organisation.

NIDO, it will be recalled is a project conceived by the present administration to give Nigerian professionals outside the country a forum to contribute to the development of their country. In short Nigeria through NIDO, strives to tap the vast human resources outside the country for her development.

All Nigerian professionals resident in the United States and Canada are therefore enjoined to attend the convention and contribute their quota to making Nigeria a better place.
