Federal Government to Review 5 Year Ban on Old Cars

The President, chief Olusegun Obasanjo has revealed that his administration in deference to public opinion, has decided to review the ban on used cars that were over five years old. He told a delegation of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) that their request for a review of the ban to exclude car that are up to 10 years old would be given due consideration. He denied the rumour that his administration would soon increase prices of petroleum products and said what was imminent, is the establishment of an effective road maintenance system.
