Group Honours Nigerians in U.S.A.
The Yoruba Alliance a conglomerate of different Yoruba groups and clubs based in the United States recently held its Award Night in Washington, United States of America during which it honoured three Nigerians who have contributed immensely to the upliftment of their society.
The three Nigerians honoured are Mr. Julius Oladapo Adetuyi, Princess Florence Bola Fadiora and Mr. Olusola Adedayo SuleKoiki.
Mr. Adetuyi an accountant and currently the Human Resource Manager of Aramac Corporation was honoured among other things for uplifting the socio-economic conditions and image of Nigerians resident in the United States through community service and the provision of gainful employment.
Princess Fadiora on her part was honoured for entrepreneurial accomplishment. A healthcare administrator by profession, she co-owns two successful companies one of which is Hope Health System - an outpatient mental health agency which serves emotionally disturbed children and adolescents. The other business concern is Pejuis Kitchen an authentic Nigerian restaurant located in Maryland. Through the two businesses Mrs. Fadiora has provided employment opportunities for many Nigerians resident in the Washington - Maryland metropolitan.
Mr. Sule Koiki an architect and construction management consultant is the owner of Kady Group Inc. which is actively involved in the construction and management of residential
properties. Happily married to his beautiful wife Eniolade Williams-Koiki, Mr. Koiki through his organization is providing employment opportunities for many Nigerians in the United States and is known to have donated generously to many worth causes within the African and Nigerian communities.
In his address on the occasion Yoruba Alliance Chairman, Prince Ajibade Gbadegesin enjoined guests and indeed all Nigerians to donate generously to the organisation's dream project of a Yoruba House in the United States.
A Nigerian artist and winner of the 2001 United Nations Fund For population Activities (UNFPA) International Poster Award, Ibiyinka Alao exhibited some of his works to the admiration of many Nigerians and their friends who attended the occasion and danced to the melodious juju music of Foli Peperempe.
A fashion show depicting Nigerian attire also featured as past of activities marking the Award Night.
