Vice President to be Honoured in New Jersey

The Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar is the recipient of the 2002 Quintessence Award of Sungai Corporation, New Jersey, United States of America. He will receive the prestigious award at a ceremony tagged "Quintessence Ball 2002: A celebration of African People in the World." taking place at Lafayette Marriott Hotel, Trenton, New Jersey on Friday July 26, 2002.

The Vice President is being honoured with the award in recognition of his meritorious career in the Nigerian public service, first in his days as Customs Officer and now as the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The award which is being hosted by the African Writers Endownment Incorporation is sponsored by Sungai Corporation, a New Jersey publishing and consulting firm.
