President Obasanjo Visits Washington This Week

Nigeria's President, His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo will pay a two day visit to Washington, United States on Thursday, June 20 to Friday, June 21, 2002.

While in Washington, President Obasanjo will be the Keynote Speaker at the Third Biennial Leon H. Sullivan Summit Dinner taking place at Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, N.W. Washington, D.C. on Thursday, June 20, 2002.

At the same ceremony President Obasanjo will receive the Sullivan Special Service Award.

Before leaving Washington on Friday, June 21, 2002 President Obasanjo will meet with top administration officials including Secretary of State Mr. Collin Powells, Secretary of Treasury Mr. O'Neil, members of Congress and the organized private sector.
