NEPAD: A Positive Development for Africa - Obasanjo

President Olusegun Obasanjo has described the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD) initiative as a comprehensive programme designed to move Africa forward.

He made this remark at the closing session of a meeting held in Dakar, Senegal to involve the private sector in the NEPAD initiative.

President Obasanjo who is the Chairman of NEPAD Implementation Committee told the one thousand participants at the meeting that NEPAD was designed by Africans for Africans and stressed the need for Africans to be in the forefront of the realisation of NEPAD objectives.
