NIDO Workshop Holds in New York in April, 2002
A workshop, organized by the Interim Board of the Nigerians In Diaspora Organisation (NIDO), will hold on Saturday April 27, 2002 beginning from 8:00 a.m. The venue of the one-day workshop is the Sheraton Hotel, LaGuardia, 135-20 39th Avenue, Flushing-Queens, New York 11354.
The Board has also invited all Nigerians of different professional persuasions to the all-day event. The workshop will deliberate on several important issues including the bylaws, articles and the mode of operation of the organization. It will also discuss the membership issue and the upcoming NIDO elections.
NIDO, a non-profit organization is an association of Nigerian professionals resident in North and South America. Its first convention was held in Washington, D.C. in March 2001, during which an Interim Board was elected. The Board has since been involved in laying a solid foundation for the organization with regards to framing its operational structure, drafting of bylaws and identifying potential sources of funding.
