Embassy of Nigeria Washington Loses Staff

The death has been announced of a Senior Counsellor and Head of the Consular and Immigration Section of the Embassy of Nigeria, Washington, United States of America, Mrs. Lilian Chidiebere Akinkuolie.

Age 45 years, Mrs. Akinkuolie passed away on Tuesday March 11, 2003 at the George Washington Teaching Hospital after a brief illness.

Mrs. Akinkuolie is survived by her husband and two children.

Her remains will be returned to Nigeria for burial after a funeral/memorial service at the Robert A. Pumphery Funeral Home in Bethesda, Maryland, United States on Saturday, March 22, 2003.

Meanwhile, the Embassy of Nigeria, Washington has opened a book of condolence for relatives, diplomatic colleagues and friends of the deceased to sign at the main chancery on 1333 16th Street, NW, Washington, D.C.
